Payments

How payment status works, how to record cash, bank transfer and mark-as-paid, and what Schedopia does not do with card payments.

Updated 30 August 2026. Applies to Schedopia 1.3.0.

Payment status

Every booking carries a payment status and an amount. The amount is the service price plus any add-ons, or the total of the selected seats. The bookings list shows both, and the dashboard’s revenue collected figure is the sum of payments you have recorded.

Pay on arrival

The booking form does not take money online. Customers confirm with pay on arrival, which keeps the form short and removes the most common reason people abandon a booking. The confirmation email states the amount due.

Recording a payment

Open a booking and choose how it was paid:

  • Cash
  • Bank transfer
  • Mark as paid, for anything else, such as a card terminal at the counter or a voucher

The payment appears under Schedopia → Payments, the booking’s status updates, and the dashboard revenue figure reflects it.

Online card payments

Schedopia does not currently process card payments online. Payment handling is built on the PaymentMethod driver interface, so a payment gateway can be added as an extension without changing the core. If you need online payments, tell us which provider matters to you; it helps decide what ships next.

Refunds

Refunds are handled outside the plugin, through whatever method you used to take the money. Record the outcome by changing the booking’s status and, if needed, cancelling it so the customer receives a cancellation email.
